The Brief:
The initial brief was for our copywriting services to re-write the existing content in a technical format and update the existing text.
We were also asked to write the technical user manuals to go with their new mobile phone software for the Picsel File Viewer. These manuals were to distributed both on hand held devices and as a downloadable format from their website. .

Picsel Technologies is the world’s leading mobile software solutions company.
Work Process:
The existing web site content was studied as well as the new technical product/ software information. Several drafts were technically written merging both the old and new information in a technical format.
This was proof read and represented until a satisfactory outline was written.
For the Picsel File Viewer software manuals each phone had to be tested with the software installed onto the handsets using several different operating platforms.
The software was then tested, error messages recorded, access buttons for each option in the software were studies and documented, each tool was fully documented with screen shots, advice, technical information and any error messages that might occur.
This was a lengthy process of testing software on various models and platforms, recording the results and documentating in a technical but user friendly way, to produce user manuals for each handset, for each operating platform with diagrams, images and technical user information.
