The Brief:
The initial brief was for our consultation services to analyse problems with the web site britishflowers.com. We confirmed their fears which were that the old web site had severe usability issues as well as functional problems.
British Flowers then instructed us to set up an action plan to build a new eCommerce web site with as little cost as possible but offering the features they required. Online administration for ordering, managing affiliates, managing products, emails and deliveries.
A CMS and business admin system in one. It had to process orders in a simple and reliable way as well as offering the option to add special offers, discounts, time based ordering for same day and next day deliveries and offer several payment methods securely.

Background:
British Flower delivery is an online florist based in Edinburgh offering flower deliveries in and around the UK. Established for over 10 years with a large client base.
Work Process:
An action plan was agreed to replace the existing web site and take over the hosting of the site from the existing designers as they were not up to scratch and very costly for our client.
Due to the client's budget an open source eCommerce solution was found and modified to the clients specifications to incorporate all the features they had asked for.
An attractive colour scheme was added to compliment the flowers. The client then added their products and tutorials were provided so that the client could maintain their new web site.

The Result:
A feature rich eCommerce store with unlimited products, secure payment system, live online order tracking, affiliate program, content management, time sensitive ordering, online user accounts and with many more features to long to list them all here! An attractive design suitable for a modern florist and in keeping with their florist shop.
